Program Outline
For the student desiring to take it out of the classroom and take it to the streets! These groups will get the opportunity to improve and refine their skills by performing more and participating in a Regional Competition.
* Only 2 classes a week commitment
*Performance groups will particpate in 1 Competition this season
(additional rehearsals may be required before competition)

BALLET GARDEN (Ages 3-5)
An exciting program designed to plant a great foundation in young dancers. This program teaches proper technique, builds coordination and balance, while at the same time teaches young dancers proper dance terminology. A creative and fun class that is sure to entertain and teach young ballerinas.

YOUNG BEGINNER BALLET (Ages 5-7)
Designed for the young dancers who have had previous "pre-ballet" experience or are ages 6-7 and just starting to dance. Knowledge of ballet terms and primary technique are emphasized, with a focus on proper technical execution as well as expression.

BALLET 1-4 (Ballet 1, ages 8 and up)
(Ballet 2-4 must be placed by artistic director.)
These classes are designed for dancers who have had previous ballet experience. Knowledge of ballet terms, proper technique and ability to focus are essential. Strong focus on an increased level of technique and
expression, as well as developing barre work skills.

For those dancers who have mastered intermediate level ballet. Classes will involve a higher degree of technique, combinations, dramatic ability and focus.

35 minutes each dance style. Only one (1) recital

BROADWAY TAP
101-Ages 6-8 /102-Ages 9-12
Classic Tap 101: “Broadway, here I come!” This variety tap is in the classic Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers style. Time steps, wing steps and much, much more are taught in the old school style of Fred Astaire.

ADVANCED TAP TECHNIQUE LEVEL 1 & 2

Prior Tap technique is a must. This tap class will continue with tap technique skills already learned. High degree of difficulty, energy and performing skills required.

( MUST BE IN ADVANCED TECH)
The style of dance requires creativity and strength . You must have adv dance skills as well as a strong core and a great understanding and execution of the alignment of the body .All this combined creates creative and moving new dancing experiences. It is a chance to adapt and learn new movement as well as allow creativity to emerge from each student. This class has a deliberate and structured design that is only for the dedicated and motivated dancer.

ADV CONTEMPORARY/MODERN
( MUST BE IN ADVANCED ADORARE OR FORTE TECH)
The style of dance requires creativity and strength . You must have HIGH level adv dance skills as well as a strong core and a great understanding and execution of the alignment of the body .All this combined creates creative and moving new dancing experiences. It is a chance to adapt and learn new movement as well as allow creativity to emerge from each student. This class has a deliberate and structured design that is only for the dedicated and motivated dancer.

This is a UNIQUE & EXCITING class in which the STUDENTS will learn from teachers the Dynamics of Choreography - Staging, Styles of dance , use of levels, Symmetry and Asymmetry and so much .....
Then they will use their new found knowledge & creativity to create their own MASTERPEICES!
Students in this class will be 100% responsible for creating choreography for the CHRISTMASS & RECITAL PERFPRMANCES.

may have simply dreamed of it. This class will concentrate on skills specific to the style of dance being studied. Classes will include body toning and stretching, center floor work and combinations.

If you love musicals, this is the class for you! This class will focus on jazz style dance and performance and showmanship skills. We will refine our skills by working on pieces from musicals such as Annie, The Little Mermaind, Joesph & the technicolor dreamcoat and many more. Come join this soon to be "favorite" class at AFTH!

PRO-MASTER DANCE CLASSES
Weekly classes that will change each month as to what style of dance is being taught / featured. Taught by Industry Professionals in the Central Florida area and consisting of: African, Modern, Ballroom, Funk, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Broadway, Jazz. A great opportunity to increase your dance repetoire in a fun and energetic setting!
